The series continued with a second piece aimed at realism but becoming subtly more impressionist.
The exaggerated droplet draws the eye to the centre of the work before it is drawn out again, firstly by the splash and then by the ripples.
Once again it was important not to distract from the shapes with too much colour.
However, this time Kentish Cherry was used as its lustre and ability to take a high polish would add to the impression of water.
